When you open a Boardwalk puzzle box, the first thing you notice isn’t the beautiful image—it’s how the puzzle looks and feels. There’s a satisfying thickness that says, This is a good puzzle. There’s also noticeably less dust in the bag and on your table.

These details don’t happen by accident—they’re the result of careful material choices that we are constantly refining. But the goal stays the same: to create premium, luxury products designed to last.

The Foundation: Premium Eska Puzzle Blue

From day one, we’ve built our puzzles on Eska Puzzle Blue—a premium chipboard that has become the gold standard in the puzzle industry. While many manufacturers cut costs with thinner, lower-grade materials, we’ve always believed that the foundation of your puzzle should be as solid as your commitment to finishing it.

Eska puzzle boards are made from long fibers, which are more durable and create less dust than cheaper, short-fiber boards. There’s a noticeable difference when you open each bag.

But we didn’t stop there…

In 2024, we made a significant upgrade—increasing the thickness from .069" to .075". That extra six-thousandths of an inch might sound small, but you can see and feel the difference. Each piece feels more substantial and more durable. The puzzle lies flatter, and pieces stay together better during assembly. When you pick up a completed section, it holds its shape with confidence.

We invested time and resources to create a better puzzle so that the hours you invest in assembling it are worth it.

Premium Paper & Ink

Just like the puzzle board, the paper and ink we use make a big difference.

Our paper is double-coated and ultra-smooth, so the ink lays down evenly to produce vivid colors across the entire spectrum. This is especially evident in skin tones—from the palest pink to the deepest bronze.

For printing, new UV-LED inks capture the brilliance of each hand-painted image. Inks are double-cured by both UV and LED light, ensuring they look as good dry as they do wet.

Looking Out for Our Planet

Our commitment to quality extends beyond performance—it includes responsibility.

All of our papers are PEFC and FSC certified, ensuring they come from responsibly managed forests. The ink contains no VOCs, ozone, or mercury. And by using the newest, most efficient printing equipment and AI technology in the printing process. These enhancements use less energy than typical printing methods. Being environmentally responsible doesn’t mean compromising on quality.
