I love doing the Dowdle puzzles. San Antonio did not disappoint!
I ended up receiving the 'older version' of the puzzle. The colors are not as vibrant, the picture is not as crisp, and the insert does not have the numbers on it to describe the different images. It also does not match the picture on the website. However, the puzzle picture does match the insert and box, the packaging is still top notch, and the quality is there as the pieces interlock very tightly. Since the puzzle pieces are odd shaped, I was able to use that versus the images and colors to put together. The other puzzles I have ordered are the 'newer' version which I much prefer.
This puzzle is amazing! It really captures the spirit of downtown San Antonio. I've stayed on the Riverwalk multiple times and seen nearly every attraction in the puzzle. I really love the details in it.
As another reviewer mentioned, I originally received a box/paper insert that did not match the actual puzzle. I contacted Dowdle and they sent me the matching puzzle so I now have both the old and new version of this puzzle. If you have any issues with your puzzle, I highly encourage you to reach out to Dowdle.
My husband and I completed this puzzle--finally--and I posted it on Facebook !! everyone loved it--and I gave this website to many people ! My son has done many of the 1000 puzzles--and his interior desin=gner wants him to frame most of them--they are really works of art !!! and so much fun !! Many of my friends live or have lived in San Antonio--as have I --and they all love this puzzle !! thanks for having this in your collection ! I am going to do Austin,next !!
