Stretching 2,400 miles across two-thirds of the continent, Route 66 is synonymous with the development of the Western United States. This painting features many of the funky things you might see on your journey from Lake Michigan to Los Angeles. This puzzle is part of our Iconic Places Collection.

Boardwalk traditional puzzles are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. from domestic and imported materials. Our jigsaw puzzles are made with premium Eska® puzzle blue board produced from 100% recovered paper. Each puzzle comes in a collectable box with magnet close, includes a full-color reference poster, and contains resealable bag for puzzle storage. Boardwalk traditional puzzles are precision cut to fit tightly and “snap” together.

Our goal is to process and ship all orders within 48 hours. We primarily ship through UPS and USPS. Free shipping is offered on all orders $79 and higher within the 48 contiguous United States. Free shipping on orders $79 and up does not apply to Hawaii, Alaska, and other U.S. Territories and international destinations.

Have driven Route 66 so was so excited to do this, although it is 1000 pieces. I worked on it at our vacation house on and off for six months. The only frustrating part was the sky, which took 6 months to figure out. I am in my 80’s and have done lots of Dowdle puzzles and Boardwalk so am usually not stumped. Finally my 28 year old grandnephew saved me from never finishing the sky! He worked one whole day Thanksgiving weekend probably and figured it out. It does work and pieces fit. Beware of it unless you have my nephew to conquer Route 66.

Disappointing

Puzzles should be made so that each piece has only ONE possible fit. ONE! This puzzle is causing me to go back and refit multiple parts of the puzzle, particularly the sky pieces and border. I like to alternate between a super fun puzzle and a crazy challenge. This was supposed to be the fun one, not the “pull my hair out in frustration” puzzle. Never a problem with a Dowdle; this is my first Boardwalk. Super fun design so I was really looking forward to it. You crushed me. Hard.

Too Frustrating

I've put together about 100 Dowdle traditional puzzles. I enjoyed each and every one of them. I tried this Boardwalk Puzzle because I've run out of Dowdle titles to get. The Route 66 Boardwalk Puzzle was extremely frustrating. So much that I quit doing it and donated the whole thing to charity (although I felt guilty in doing so). As others have said. The pieces were too similar, particularly in the sky section. Too many false fits and do overs. I do puzzles to relax and ease tension. This puzzle caused quite the opposite.

Many Missing Pieces

Very frustrating & disappointing- there are about 24 missing pieces randomly though out the more colorful part of the puzzle. It is quite obvious since I only have blue sky pieces left. Also agree with the other one star comments regarding the cuts being the same or too similar in the sky section as well as the quality. I've bought several Dowdle puzzles in the past and never had issues. I'll pass on this brand of puzzle.
