Norway is a land of myth and legends. This is a hard land to be sure. It is the Northernmost country in Europe and almost half of the country lies north of the Arctic Circle. With this geography much of the year is spent in an otherworldly twilight. It is the perfect environment to foster cultural lore, and tradition. Norway celebrates its Viking heritage and for good reasons. Through their revolutionary long ships, the Vikings spread their culture from Scandinavia, across northern Europe, the British Isles, and parts of France. They colonized Iceland, Greenland, and likely discovered the American Continent hundreds of years before Columbus.
