As the capital of the United States of America, Washington D.C. is full of modern-day activity, stories from history, as well as a plethora of historical architecture and sights. Eric captures it all in this detailed painting which focuses on the National Mall and adjacent buildings. Looks closely and you will see figures spanning hundreds of years of history representing all of the important moments that make this nation what it is today.

Disappointed

I must have 20 of Dowdle's puzzles. They are ALL amazing quality. I have given them as gifts. This puzzle wasn't the usual quality. The pieces were too soft and stuck together too easily. The paper came off easily. If this was my first puzzle I would never have bought another. If I didn't know better I would say it was a return. Also, there were 3 missing pieces!!!

Does this go here?

There were several pieces that you could interchange and looked as if they belonged where you put them. As I got down to the last piece, it obviously didn't go in the last spot. I looked around and discovered the right piece was in another spot where it looked like it belonged. Other than that, it was great.

I am saving this puzzle for cooler weather as the sunroom is too hot. However, I loved his San Fracisco, Chicago and Classic Car show puzzles

Tough one!!!

We have ALOT of Dowdle puzzles and this is the toughest one we’ve done! Agree that a picture of the puzzle without the dots would be very helpful!!! Love Dowdle puzzles!

HISTORY MADE FUN

After three weeks of balancing a picture with 101 dots obscuring key pieces, the wrapper with the small intact picture for reference , a magnifying glass, and a puzzle piece in hand we were dismayed to find that upon completion one piece was missing. We looked on the floor, under the table legs, under the potted plants,-- no missing piece. Just us two, no kids, no pets. So we thought surely the makers wouldn't mind sending one if we could identify it. We looked online for instructions and were blown away by the heartwarming story of Eric Dowdle and his siblings on the farm. A must read for this Thanksgiving season. After being advised to also look in our slippers, we did so. No piece. About then my husband realized that beside the table is an Asian rug with the same colors as the missing piece. He put cheek to the floor to look across the carpet, no piece, so he crawled across it feeling with his hands and there it was!! Such Joy! Although some pieces are small with even smaller details and sometimes diabolically divided, this has been one of our favorite puzzles. We are passing it on to family with a stern recommendation to view the website for the online enlargeable picture for reference. Thank you so much for this wonderful excursion through American history.
