The original natives of Minneapolis were the Dakota Sioux until the French explorers arrived in 1680. Later, the U.S. acquired the territory from France and established posts there. Lumber was one of the most valuable resources for the city which thrived on the lumber industry. Numerous sawmills were powered by Saint Anthony Falls on the Mississippi River. In modern times, you can still see some French influence here as the motto of the city is “En Avant” which means “Forward” in the French language. And although the winters are cold here, the city boasts the highest number of golfers per capita in the nation. If you love sports, you’re all set with an NFL team, the Minnesota Vikings, an NBA team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and an MLB team, the Minnesota Twins, but the natives here will tell you that the one sport they really love is hockey.

This was a wonderful puzzle until I realized it didn't have all the pieces. I would of loved whomever thifted the puzzle to actually have all the pieces included. I can't afford to purchase a whole nother puzzle just to finish this one and frame it.
Haven’t started the puzzle yet, but I love Dowdle puzzles, so am sure I will enjoy it.

I just did this puzzle with my daughters home from college. It was our second puzzle ever, 1000 pieces, borrowed from a neighbor. I was uncertain when we set up the card table but what a lovely choice it turned out to be. One week and many sweet hours of chat later, the puzzle was done. I came onto this website to buy another and saw the review section, so I’m reviewing. Pieces fit easily but you do have to think and organize. Fun facts included about Minneapolis that brought to mind different stories. Very highly recommend this puzzle.
