Frankfurt’s Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market) dates back to the 14th century when it was referred to as a Dezembermarkt. This area of Frankfurt has been an important site since the Romans established a key center here in the first century, thus the name Romer or Romerberg for the square. Today it is one of Europe’s most popular Christkindlmarkts, drawing more than three million visitors from late November to just after Christmas each year. These community events are anticipated and loved by locals and tourists alike, featuring the arrival of Saint Nikolaus on December 6th and culminating with the appearance on Christmas Eve of the Christkindl, usually a fair-haired local youth whose angelic presence is representative of the arrival of the Christ Child. These winter fairs feature unique crafts, delicious delicacies, refreshing drinks and talented performers spread out around a tall, breathtaking Weihnachtsbaum (Christmas tree). It turns out that Tannenbaum is just a fir tree.

Frankfurt is by far the toughest Dowdle puzzle I've done - at last count I have completed 16 or more!
For those who have visited Frankfurt/Germany during Weinachten it is full of memory provoking views. Well worth the time and effort to complete.

To make things more challenging, I do my puzzles by putting away the box and figuring out where everything goes without referring to the picture in the box. This one was the hardest Dowdle puzzle yet. But it was a lot if fun!

I have not had the time to work it yet but so am sure I will love working it. Every Dowdle puzzle I have work has been a delight. Most of the puzzles I have ordered have been of places we have lived or visited. It has been fun bringing back memories.

It's a great ouzzle as all DOWDLE puzzles are.
Little harder than most.
