Dowdle created a series of four popular lighthouse paintings, each one dedicated to one of the four seasons, to commemorate the inseparable relationship shared between folk art and Lighthouses. Re-released in a new format we are glad to bring back this lighthouse series. The Lighthouses North features the historic and beautiful Portland Head Lighthouse of Cape Elizabeth, ME (built in 1789) and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (rebuilt in 1870) at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina. I loved it. The lighthouse personal puzzle was such a delight and so fun. I gave the London personal puzzle to my daughter as she has visited London (I haven't}, but I expect we will trade puzzles to further enjoy the fun.
