If he were alive, Birger Jarl would undoubtedly be honored to see that the small town he built in 1252 has grown into the largest city in Sweden. Stockholm established itself as the capital of Sweden in 1634, shortly after Sweden was liberated from Danish rule in 1523. Today, with its exquisite architecture, abundant open water, and numerous parks, it is easy to see why it is called “The Venice of the North.” It is also known as “The World’s Smallest Big City.” Have fun getting to know the heart of historic, beautiful Stockholm.

UPDATE to my Review

We figured out the border problem. There were some pieces that were very close in design. We switched around some pieces and made them all fit. 5-star! Obviously, a big challenge for these 60-somethings! ;-)

Two border pieces don't fit

This was a challenging puzzle, but we enjoyed piecing it together. The entire time, we searched for two border pieces that would fit at the bottom right. When the puzzle was complete, we confirmed that the two pieces at the bottom absolutely did not fit into the spaces. That was a disappointment. Nice picture, though, and good challenge to keep our minds sharp.

Just finished it. Was a little difficult but always a good challenge. Enjoyed it as I do all my Dowdle puzzles.
