With it's first settlement founded in 1508 by Ponce de Leon, Puerto Rico has a long history of colonization. Literally translated as "rich port", the island was historically know for it's transports of gold and silver from the new world to Europe. The city's capitol, San Juan, is depicted in Eric's painting of this caribbean island. Many walls and fortifications built by the Spanish government are still intact and surround the city. The vibrant culture is not only reflected in their art, food and music, but also the colorful architecture that abounds throughout the city.

Unlike the previous puzzle (Delicate Arch), which was missing piece, this puzzle was not missing any pieces! A little tough, but we finished it in about a day and a half! I chose this puzzle because of all the detail. It looked like fun and it was. I bought eight puzzles at the last sale and I did one a day. It was a little challenging but I like that.
My dad and I had a blast working on this puzzle together as puzzles have become our go-to while most of California has been shut down. All the colorful homes in Old San Juan and the blue of the waters made it a fun challenge to work through. It was interesting to see all the notable, historical places as well as how lively it can get in San Juan. Best of all, I'm planning to visit this summer and working on this puzzle got me excited to see everything in person!
I very much enjoyed this puzzle of Puerto Rico. Difficult, but very beautiful! I enjoyed the cemetery & the gorgeous water & cliffs & recalling the Pope's visit there a while back. Keep em' coming Great Job!
Just finished my Puerto Rico puzzle. A challenge but what a good challenge, especially to take my mind away from these days with COVID-19. It took me back to old San Juan where I worked as a tourist guide. Great work! Waiting for my glue to frame it.
