I liked the piece size and the ease of putting the puzzle together, and especially the enclosed page with a key to the major places pictured on the puzzle. But out of 50 places such as Rio, Rome and Paris, 17 were in Canada! No offense to Canada, but 34% of the world's best places are certainly not there.
this puzzle was challenging and fun, but most of all fair. I never felt frustrated. The picture insert is very small but that is OK. If it were 11x14 you could breeze through this in a couple of hours....what's the point in that! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the obvious Canadian bias. Almost of the "ocean" spaces are filled in with Canadian references and the sort. Not sure why. I would have loved to have that filled in with more geographically local culture. Still my favorite puzzle.
I especially like world puzzles. This puzzle (Best of the World) was my favorite by far. The vivid colors and subject matter made it interesting for framing. Also, the packaging was equally impressive. Please make another different world puzzle!
I enjoy a good challenge, and this puzzle fit the bill. This is the fourth Dowdle puzzle I have purchased, and I am very happy with the quality of the pieces - and really like the size of them (not too large like some manufacturers). I'd recommend this one for folks who love a more difficult puzzle to work. Can't wait to do this one again!
We did the 1000-piece version. My daughter did most of this one--she's got better eyes than us seniors. I liked this one not only for the difficulty (I have done much more difficult ones), but primarily for the inherent geography lesson. We will get this one out and redo it in the not too distant future. The quality of the Dowdle puzzles are top-notch.
