Cannon Beach is famous for Haystack Rock, colorful tidepools and diverse birdlife. It is a picturesque small-town village by the sea, one of America’s best art towns with a ton of character. There are abundant hiking trails and panoramic coastal views. In 1805, William Clark of the Lewis and Clark expedition traveled south to Cannon Beach from their camp at what is now Astoria, Oregon. Here he saw “the grandest and most pleasing prospects which my eyes ever surveyed, in front of a boundless ocean.”

Cannon Beach puzzle

I have been doing Dowdle puzzles for several years. Don't think I will purchase any more. This is the second puzzle in a row that I have not liked the way it has been cut. Again, I am a dissatisfied customer.

I prefer random cut and this one is grid cut which to me not as entertaining as the random cut.

I love Dowdle puzzles overall. This one not so much. I had just finished the Dowdle Puzzle for Seaside and absolutely loved the quality and the way the pieces locked together. Even though Cannon Beach is 500 pieces more, it has been a chore because the puzzle pieces don't have the same quality (like the front of the puzzle pieces peeling off on several pieces) and the fact that pieces don't lock together well. You must have had a different process cutting the puzzle for Cannon Beach than for Seaside as there is a world of difference in the quality. I am still a fan of Dowdle Puzzles, but not of the Newport Beach one.

I’ve not had a chance to put the puzzle together yet. I know its a puzzle that came from a painting of Eric Dowdle, it will be good.
