Around 2000 Eric created a series of four popular lighthouse paintings, each one dedicated to one of the four seasons, to commemorate the inseparable relationship shared between folk art and Lighthouses. Re-released in a new format we are glad to bring back Eric’s lighthouse series. The Lighthouses North features the historic and beautiful Portland Head Lighthouse of Cape Elizabeth, ME (built in 1789) and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (rebuilt in 1870) at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina. Enjoy these paintings of classic Americana and wonderful seasonal scenes. Let your light shine.

Love Puzzles with a story

Loved the puzzle with Lighthouses North. It is always fun to read the info on the back of the pic.

Thin Pieces

I own over 70 Dowdle puzzles. When doing the North Lighthouses puzzle, I noticed that the pieces didn't stay attached as well as other Dowdle puzzles, and the pieces felt thin. After completing the puzzle, I used a caliper to measure the thickness of the pieces of this puzzle, and pieces from several other Dowdle puzzles. The pieces of this puzzle were 0.067 while the other puzzles measured around 0.072. This is not much different and probably is only a manufacturing variation, but I noticed it. I love Dowdle puzzles because of their quality, but this puzzle has been the one exception to the great quality that I have seen.

Dowdle is amazing

I have 128 puzzles, glued and framed as I love them. These are the most fun and truly my hobby. I give them completed and framed as gifts. I had the pleasure of visiting the Utah office. It was very special.
