Balloon Festival - 500 Piece

We really liked the art and colorful design of the balloons in this puzzle. We were enjoying putting it together when about 1/4 of the way in to it, a piece is missing. We are always very careful when opening the bags these puzzles come in. Just in case, we searched every possibility that it ran away somewhere. Wish we had the piece because I frame many of the puzzles we put together. Very disappointed! Sorry that this occurred because Dowdle puzzles are well made and come in sturdy boxes.

This puzzle only has a few standard shapes. Because of that it makes it easy to place a piece in the wrong place (especially where the color is similar). I hope this isn't something new for Dowdle.

This is the fourth puzzle from Dowdle that I have completed. The best part of these puzzles are the unique shapes of the pieces which are intriguing. So much better that the traditional pieces. The colors are beautiful and the pieces are sturdy. One of the puzzles that I did was missing a piece and I know that my cat did not drag it away. I should have contacted the company but never did. This particular puzzle had an extra piece so I hope someone out there is not missing one. Looking forward to adding to my collection.

Balloon festival (500) is the first Dowdle puzzle I completed. The art is beautiful, which adds to the fun. My second & third puzzle was the Grand Canyon (1000). The quality of these puzzles is great. The edges of the puzzle pieces don’t bend or peel. When I put together the Grand Canyon the first time, it was missing a piece. I contacted Dowdle & they mailed me a new puzzle. I had so much fun putting these puzzles together. Totally recommend & looking forward to my next beautiful puzzle from Dowdle.

I live in Albuquerque so this puzzle is very special to me. For me, it was challenging! I did the 1,000 piece version, and as another reviewer said, some of the colors look like they could be used in different parts of the puzzle. While it was tricky and took awhile to complete, I can’t wait to frame it.
