Nauvoo Temple - Fine Art

Originally built of locally quarried gray limestone, the Nauvoo Temple construction required more than five years of hard work and significant sacrifice. Over this five-year period, from 1841 to 1846, the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints worked on their homes, shops and farms, but the principal building emphasis centered on completion of the House of the Lord.
